The Minister for Tourism Kumari Selja on Monday inaugurated the ‘Hunar se rozgar’ programme that aims to provide skill sets to young aspirants and train them as cooks and waiters.
The minister said with tourism registering a boom again, there is a need for trained personnel in the hospitality sector. While there are only 12,000 trained personnel for absorption in the hospitality related enterprises, annual demand for trained worker is over 2 lakh. Source
